chameleon-cursor-theme software package provides modern but not gaudy X11 mouse theme, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install chameleon-cursor-theme
chameleon-cursor-theme is installed in your system.
